A few years back I stumbled upon an amazing doll pattern made by Nyss Parkes at Pixelated Mushroom. I am not familiar with the character depicted in the pattern, but I was very inspired by the concept. I would like to reiterate that I did not design this pattern, I have simply made alterations to create my own characters.
Daryl Dixon - The Walking Dead
My little sister is a big fan of The Walking Dead, and maybe slightly obsessed with Daryl Dixon. She has quite the collection of Daryl-related merchandise and swag, so I made her this one-of-a-kind Daryl Dixon action figure for Christmas. Cuz nothing says NERD like a limited edition.
I tried to give him some biceps, and made him "wearing" a black t-shirt and jeans, with removable accessories - his trademark angel wing vest, the "A" sweatshirt that he was wearing while captured by Neegan, and his crossbow... yes, I crocheted a crossbow.

Zombie Bob
After I got the hang of the pattern I was really inspired to play around with it, and here`s what I came up with - a zombie with a popped-out eyeball, and partially exposed rib cage. Crocheting in-the-round gives the pieces a twist so my ribs ended up a tad misplaced, but I'm still tickled with the final outcome.
Karl Pilkington
Chimpanzee-that, he's made out of yarn!
My sister and I are both Karl Pilkington fans. The shape of the head was just too round and perfect, I just had to stitch one up! And of course I had to make him a monkey-news buddy.

Abbie Hoffman
My first attempt at political art, and my first doll- with a removable flag jacket, and Yippee shirt. His hair has lost it's curl over the years, and now hangs in loose waves down his back....so, I don't recommend wrapping pencils with yarn, drenching them in hairspray, baking them in a low-heat oven until they set, and expecting it to last.
